Zahma O La (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a social coordination platform built for the Gulf. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.

2. What we collect

When you use Zahma O La, we may collect the following:

  • Account information: your name, phone number, and profile photo when you create an account.
  • Jadwal data: the stops, timelines, and check-in activity within plans you create or are invited to.
  • Location data: only when you actively use live coordination or Causeway traffic features, and only with your permission.
  • Usage data: how you interact with the app (screens visited, features used) to help us improve the experience.
  • Device information: your device type and operating system for compatibility purposes.

3. How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Zahma O La service
  • Enable group coordination, check-ins, and live tracking features
  • Send you notifications about Jadwals you're part of
  • Improve app performance and fix issues
  • Comply with applicable laws in Bahrain and the GCC

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Who can see your Jadwals

Privacy is built into how Zahma O La works:

  • Default: Your Jadwals and posts are visible to your friends on the app.
  • Mahfof: When you mark a Jadwal as Mahfof, only the specific people you invite can see it. No one else, including other friends on the app.

We never make your Jadwals publicly searchable or visible to people outside your network without your explicit action.

5. Data sharing

We share data only in these limited cases:

  • With your group: Members of a Jadwal can see each other's check-ins and participation.
  • Service providers: Trusted third-party services that help us operate (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics) under strict data agreements.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Archived Jadwals are deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. Access to user data within our team is limited to what is necessary to operate the service.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for location data at any time via your device settings

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
